With the combined efforts of the HistoGenes team another article was published in the renowned journal Nature. It sheds light on how two neighbouring communities near Vienna (today's Mödling and Leobersdorf) shared a culture while not admixing genetically, as evidenced by multi-generation pedigrees. Combining genetic, archaeological, anthropological and written source material the authors show that culture and genetics are not connected.
